"Queer people are legends, man!" I'd asked why Bigfoot — it seemed like an odd choice for a nonprofit. But the more we talked, the more it made sense: elusive, mystifying, remarkably resilient, and yet undeniably part of the natural world.
Lost Coast Pride was founded in 2022 to bring visible, joyful LGBTQ+ community events to the Eel River Valley and surrounding areas. We're best known for the annual Ferndale Pride March, but our work is year-round — building community, showing up for our neighbors, and making sure queer folks in rural Humboldt know they belong.
